RAIN VALDEZ
Rain Valdez (she/her/hers) is a trailblazing figure in the entertainment industry, recognized as an accomplished actress, writer, and director. She made history with her remarkable performance in the groundbreaking series Razor Tongue, becoming the first Filipino American transgender actress nominated for a Primetime Emmy in the "Outstanding Actress in a Short Form Comedy or Drama Series" category and earning a 'Special Recognition' GLAAD Award. This year, Rain has completed directing her first indie TV pilot, One For The Team. Rain has also made significant creative contributions to the GLAAD Listed script Re-Live, the romcom short film Ryans, which won the Best North American Short Film Award at the OUTSouth Queer Film Festival, and the captivating series Hexed, which received three nominations at the Madrid International Film Festival, including Best Actress and Best Director. Valdez is also a visionary leader, founding ActNOW, a pioneering acting class in Los Angeles that provides a supportive environment for LGBTQIA actors.
